The British Fashion Council awards the British designer with an Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design, the award reserved for those who have made an outstanding contribution to British fashion business
The British Fashion Council, the nonprofit organization that promotes British designers in the world, has announced that Paul Smith, hermes bag one of the best known British designer who has taken the first steps into the world of fashion in the 70 by opening a shop in Nottingham, November 28 will receive the Outstanding Achievement award, the highest prize in the issuing institution.
The award, given annually to the designer (last year it had fallen to the late Alexander McQueen) who through their work have given an outstanding contribution to the business of British fashion, is actually the fifth from the committee assigned to Sir Paul Smith.
In 1997 and 1999 he won as Best Menswear Designer (1976 was the year when Smith led the first men's collection on the catwalk in Paris and it was 1998 when, in London, was presented the women's line), in 2001 as the best exponent of Classic Design Award in 2003 for Contemporary Design.
The Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design has been awarded by a jury of international journalists and retailers specifically for the symbolism english purely idiosyncratic collections of Sir Paul Smith and his imaginary defined classic with a twist.
